Kosas Revealer Skin-Improving Foundation SPF 25 Shades & Swatches
There are 36 shades to choose from across Light, Medium, Medium-Deep and Deep categories, divided into Cool, Neutral, Warm and Olive Undertones.
I have two of the shades to show you:
- Light Neutral Warm 130 – light with yellow undertones
- Light Neutral 140 – Light with subtle pink undertones
My best match is Light Neutral 140 which I absolutely love on my skin. It was very hard to capture the difference between these two shades on camera, so I will try to add in how they both look on my face, as that’s how I selected 140 over 130.
My Foundation Matches
In case it helps you to choose a shade, here’s a selection of my other foundation matches across a range of brands:

What skin type is it good for? Is it suitable for all skin types?
I have combination skin and find it really good on my skin type. The formula has been designed to suit all skin types, and it claims to be non-acnegenic, non irritating, and safe for sensitive skin.
As this has loads of skincare in it, I think this is probably perfect for dry or mature skin types.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
The Kosas Revealer Skin-Improving Foundation SPF 25 has been formulated to be suitable for sensitive skins.
Does this work for dry skin?
I think this is a great foundation for dry skin as there’s loads of hydrating and moisturising ingredients in there. There’s Hyaluronic Acid and Squalane which dry skins tend to love.
Do you need to powder it?
I am combination skin, as I said, and I often skip powder, which I could probably do with this one if I was in a rush. However, because I also have the Kosas Cloud Set powder* (shade Feathery Sheer Light Medium), I have been using that lightly on top of the oilier areas of my skin, and loving it.
If you are oily, you will probably want to set this with powder.
Is it easy to apply?
I have been using a buffing brush to apply the Kosas Revealer Skin-Improving Foundation SPF 25and I find that it melts into my skin and blends out nicely. It’s actually such a lovely foundation to apply because it has a great serum texture.
What is the coverage like?
This is a good medium coverage foundation which you can build up a bit, but it never looks heavy. The finish keeps skin looking just like skin but with a lovely glow. It is great for covering redness and blurring out fine lines and imperfections.
I find that one pump is enough for my whole face, and I concentrate the product more on the centre of my face where I have more redness.
What is the finish like?
I really like the finish of this foundation. The serum texture gives the skin a lovely soft gloss which is my kind of finish. In fact, this really reminds me of one of my top favourite foundations, the NARS Light Reflecting Foundation. Personally though, I think the NARS feels a touch lighter, and is more blurring on the appearance of pores. I light layer of the Kosas Cloud Set powder* (shade Feathery Sheer Light Medium) takes down the pores considerably.
It doesn’t feel oily or greasy or oily, just nice and comfortable.
Is it long lasting?
As the emphasis on this foundation is skincare, it hasn’t been formulated to be super long lasting, but I still find that it lasts a good 8 hours without breaking up or fading too much. There’s a little wear around my nose but I tend to get that with most foundations.
Is it a chemical or physical SPF?
The SPF in the Kosas Revealer Skin-Improving Foundation SPF 25 is a mineral sun screen.
Do I need to wear a primer with it?
I haven’t been wearing a primer with this foundation and I find it lasts really well.
Is there any flashback?
There’s no flashback to report with this foundation.
Is it fragrance free?
The Kosas Revealer Skin-Improving Foundation SPF 25 has been formulated without fragrance.
In conclusion, I am really enjoying this foundation. It has lots of lovely skincare ingredients and gives the skin a lovely healthy, dewy look. You may not love it as much if you’re very oily.
Before and After Photos
The shade I have been using in the Kosas Revealer Skin-Improving Foundation SPF 25 is Light Neutral 140. I find this is a really good match for my skin tone. Excuse my deathly appearance, I’ve been a bit unwell!
