Fenty are launching a volumising mascara and it’s very exciting. This is set to be their biggest launch of the year! Here’s a look at the Fenty Beauty Hella Thicc Volumizing Mascara with before and after photos.
So this is the best part; the before and after photos!! Because this is a volumising mascara designed to give you chunky lashes, I layered it up more than I usually would so you can see how far this would go.
My Review
I first tested this mascara with three coats to see how well that amount of product performed, but that isn’t how I’d wear it on a daily basis.
I have to say, I’m really enjoying this mascara because it loads on so much product in one swipe and it gets the job done so quickly.
I tested it for the whole day with three coats, which is a lot for me these days. In my younger years, I used to get through a mascara every couple of weeks, but I prefer a more subtle look now.
I pushed Fenty Beauty Hella Thicc to the max with three coats, but it really doesn’t need that many as it thickens the lashes from the first coat. I love the look of just one coat, and that’s how I tested it the following day and it worked so well.
The brush is really nice and I find it grabs all the lashes easily, to coat them with the super black formula. I am very messy when it comes to mascara, mainly because I have hooded lids, but I found this brush allowed for a nice precise application and I didn’t make too much of a mess!
I love how black the formula is. It gives instant definition to the lashes and covers them quickly. In terms of coats, I love the look of one and two, but I think three generous coats means that it starts to clump a little. As I said earlier, I really don’t think you need to do more than two coats because it thickens up the lashes really quickly.
I don’t curl my lashes, but I think this gives them a lovely lift, and even with three heavy coats, the lashes stayed lifted all day.
I had a tiny bit of transfer to the undereye area, but I think that could be down to the fact that I am not used to wearing that much mascara. When I tested it with just one coat the following day, it stayed in place much better.
In terms of removal, it melts away easily with an eye makeup remover or cleansing oil or balm. When I wore it with three coats, I did have a bit of a panda eye situation the next day, but I think that was because I’m not used to wearing that much mascara, and I just did my regular cleanse.
When I wore it with less coats, my usual makeup removal did the job perfectly and there were no panda eyes the next day.

All in all, I’m a fan of this mascara. It gives instant defining and volumising impact in one quick coat and the brush makes application nice and easy. It is staying in my makeup bag.
