What inspired you to pursue a career in the beauty industry?

I’m technically a shop kid & have been raised around or in a salon/shop of some sort since I was 5-6 years old.

Can you share a memorable moment from your early days in the industry?

I remember it without social media playing a big part/role in it and there was a real mission for people to show who’s the best.

How do you define your brand within the beauty space?

I define my brand in the beauty industry as Men’s High-end luxury services & solutions.

What does being featured in the Hype Hair Magazine x Bronner Bros collaboration mean to you?

To me being featured in this dope collaboration means opportunity, as well as the future!

So many things are changing and have changed over the years and new changes to the industry are needed and wanted to create a new narrative for where the industry is right now.

Where do you see yourself in your career five years from now?

In 5 years I want to be on a whole different level. With an increased impact as I educate people all over the world. I’d like to be a Millionaire for sure. Also, I’d like to develop more products.

Who are some of your biggest influences in the beauty industry?

One of my biggest influences in the beauty industry is, James Bronner. He influences me in many ways, but I admire him honestly for taking an idea and making it a reality that has been a staple in the industry for so many years/decades.

What areas of expertise set you apart from other professionals in your field?

Some areas of expertise that set me apart are  My specialized services and the skin/ haircare solutions I provide.

How vital are diversity and inclusivity in the beauty industry, and how do you contribute to it?

It’s extremely important to tap into new innovations as well as solve problems across the whole industry. One way of thinking will only get one kind of result. We need numerous perspectives and input to change the way we do business and impact the world through this industry.

Can you share some advice for aspiring beauty professionals looking to make their mark?

Some advice I’d give aspiring beauty professionals would be to be intentional, be aggressive, invest in yourself and your business. Learn more than just hair, learn how to be a legitimate business owner. Be a servant of the people and they will take great care of you!

What role does innovation play in your approach to beauty and haircare?

Innovation is necessary and inevitable when you think about pushing a Billion dollar industry to the next level. New services, new products, new technologies, and new techniques are all needed to grow.

How do you balance staying true to your style while keeping up with industry trends?

I focus on what interests me not what the latest trends are and if I see something in the trends that I can apply to my day-to-day I do so. Other than that I stay in my own lane & drive fast!

What challenges have you faced in your career, and how have they shaped your journey?

Dealing with men’s grooming it’s a little more taboo, but luckily in a place like Atlanta men are more open to additional services and getting more than just a haircut. It’s allowed me to grow into new spaces that I never could’ve imagined as I was entering the barbering side of the industry. It’s changed my perspective and honestly my life.

What upcoming projects or collaborations can your fans and readers look forward to?

My fans and readers can expect many upcoming projects for my brand such as new product launches, new services/treatments, new locations, rebranding, and collaborations. 

What’s your favorite beauty hack or product you can’t live without?

My favorite beauty hack to date is using Rose Water, which is a game changer honestly it has a lot of benefits and it helps with so many different hair and skin needs. Also my Yizsential Organic Blend. It’s a game-changer. Finally our Beard Food beard oil from Beard Goalz. 

How do you stay motivated and inspired in a constantly evolving industry like beauty?

I stay motivated in this field because I believe it is a game to me, and as I’m learning more about the game it keeps me invested and interested. Not as much on the service side, but behind the scenes and how the industry really moves and evolves. That’s where the next level of impact lies in my opinion.
